Homemade Electrolyte Drink
Natural rehydration for colds, flu, & physical exertion
Ingredients
2 cups water (I use 1 cup coconut water and 1 cup filtered water)
Juice of ½ lemon or lime
¼ tsp real sea salt, pink Himalayan salt (I use a little less)
1 Tsp raw honey (local if possible)
Instructions
Mix everything into a jar with a lid and shake well to combine. This recipe fits perfect in a pint mason jar.
Store in the fridge up to a week.
Side Notes:
The Juice of Lime, Lemon, or Orange – all are fantastic choices!
Add some grated fresh Ginger Root: (Ginger is a ‘warming’ spice, this is good in the winter
months, or if you have an upset stomach, or if you are cold. If you have a fever or are feeling warm Ginger is not recommended)Experiment! – Add fresh fruits/vegetables/herbs: Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, cucumber, mint, basil, cilantro
